ABOUT CYRIL

Cyril Zuma is a South African born creative entrepreneur specialising in photography. Born in Impendle, KZN and raised in Johannesburg, Cyril was first exposed to photography through a photojournalism book given to him by his mother.

He then took a huge interest and began taking candid photographs using instant film cameras. At the age of twenty one Cyril picked up a digital camera, one that would go with him everywhere, that sparked the beginning.

The beginning of iStockAfrica, a stock image agency focused on adding diversity in stock photography across Africa. Through iStockAfrica, Cyril is using photography as a medium of expression, a means to connect with people and add diversity in stock photography one image at a time.

 

My biggest goal right now is ensuring that afrocentric people are well represented.
